Control Arm Pillow Ball Bushings - Front Upper and Lower
It can be used to replace the rubber bushings of the genuine suspension arms. It is made of a hard aluminum ball joint (some are made of steel), a steel side collar, and an oil-free ball joint. The replacement requires a press, but the ball joint is chamfered and the ball joint collar is recessed to make it easier to press in. The rubber bushings used in OEM products have a fixed outer case and inner rubber, so the range of movement is limited to about 30 degrees due to the twisting and bending of the rubber itself (Figure 1). Pillow bushings can move freely 360 degrees (Figure 2), so there is no restriction on movement.
